Zamboni Driver

Is responsible for maintaining ice surfaces at ice rinks, arenas, and ice skating facilities. This role involves operating a Zamboni or similar ice resurfacing machine to ensure the ice is smooth, clean, and safe for use by ice sports enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ice Resurfacing: Operate and drive a Zamboni or ice resurfacing machine to resurface ice rinks, maintaining the quality of the ice for skating, hockey, or other ice-related activities.
  2. Ice Maintenance: Monitor and maintain ice quality by filling in cracks, removing snow and debris, and repairing damaged areas to ensure a safe and level playing surface.
  3. Maintenance: Regularly inspect, maintain, and adjust the Zamboni's resurfacing blade and conditioner to ensure proper performance and ice quality.
  4. Safety Procedures: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of all facility users and personnel while operating the Zamboni.
  5. Equipment Inspection: Conduct routine pre-operational checks and inspections on the Zamboni to identify and address any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating a Zamboni or ice resurfacing machine is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ice maintenance and resurfacing techniques.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic maintenance on the Zamboni.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Front Desk Staff

Responsible for ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for visitors and participants at the hockey rink. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing rink-related operations, and assisting in administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework may be preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Knowledge of hockey or ice sports is a plus but not always required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • First aid and CPR certification is advantageous but not always required.
