Learn to Skate Toddler

Skate With Me- ages 2.5-5 and a parent/guardian with skating ability must accompany the skater on ice. This is a 30 minute group class. Both the skater and the parent/guardian need a membership with Learn to Skate USA in order to participate in this program.  The skater needs a helmet for this class, the rink does not provide helmets.  Rental skates are included with this class.

Totsicles- ages 3-4 This is a 30 minute group class.  No previous skating knowledge needed. The skater needs a membership with Learn to Skate USA in order to participate in this program.  The skater needs a helmet for this class, the rink does not provide helmets.  Rental skates are included with this class.

Learn to Skate Youth

Learn to Skate Youth ages 5-12 For Beginners through Basic 3. This is a 30 minute group class, followed by supervised practice.  Private lessons may be taken during the practice for an additional fee. No previous skating knowledge needed. The skater needs a membership with Learn to Skate USA in order to participate in this program.  The skater needs a helmet for this class, the rink does not provide helmets.  Rental skates are included with this class.

Adult Skating Skills

Adult Skating Skills, ages 13 and beyond. This class is for Beginners through Basic 6 and beyond. This is a 30 minute group class, followed by  practice.  Private lessons may be taken during the practice for an additional fee. No previous skating knowledge needed. The skater needs a membership with Learn to Skate USA in order to participate in this program.  It is suggested that you wear a helmet for this class especially if you have never skated before, the rink does not provide helmets.  Rental skates are included with this class.

Freestyle Bridge

Freestyle Bridge- ages 5-18 for Skaters in Basic 4 through Freestyle 6, This class is for skaters looking to become figure skaters. All skaters must have their own pair of figure skates for this class along with a membership with learn to skate USA and a membership with Aspire Bridge or USFS, please contact Rachel with any membership questions. Groups are broken into 3 categories:

Beginner Bridge: Basic 4-Basic 6
Intermediate Bridge: Pre-Freestyle- Freestyle 2
Advanced Bridge: Freestyle 3- Freestyle 6

Class structure varies depending on the day you are attending, Saturday class includes a 15 minute off ice warm up, a 15 minute on ice warm up and a 30 minute group instruction, there is an option to add 1 hr of Saturday freestyle practice ice, following bridge class.  Monday Class includes a 15 minute on ice warm up, a 30 minute group instruction and a 15 minute practice time.

Which equipment is provided in the free gear program?

First-time hockey players receive the following equipment for free on their 1st day of class. Jersey and socks, stick, helmet with cage, shin pads, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, hockey pants, hockey bag Skates are not included in the free gear program but rental skates are available until you are ready to get fitted for your own pair. When you enroll in our [LTPH Free Gear / Flyers Rookie Hockey Initiation Program], your gear will be provided for you.

How often should I practice?

It is recommended that skaters practice at least one other time per week. Please check our monthly calendar for stick & puck and public skating hours.
